WASHINGTON – The Office of the United States Trade Representative today announced the addition of new staff members who will fill important leadership positions at the agency: Allison Smith, Deputy Assistant USTR for Congressional Affairs; Kamau Marshall, Deputy Assistant USTR for Media and Public Affairs; Tommy Wolfe, Deputy Executive Secretary; and Sam Michel, Director of Speechwriting. The broad range of experiences and perspectives from each new member will strengthen USTR’s effort to craft a worker-centered trade policy and support the Biden-Harris Administration’s Build Back Better agenda.
Tommy Wolfe, Deputy Executive Secretary
Tommy Wolfe is the Deputy Executive Secretary for the Office of the United States Trade Representative. Prior to his service at USTR, Mr. Wolfe was a Legislative Assistant for Delegate Stacey Plaskett and managed her work as a member of the Agriculture Committee and Budget Committee. He also previously served as a Legislative Aide for Senator Amy Klobuchar and as a Research Assistant for the Joint Economic Committee. Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Mr. Wolfe holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
