Department to pilot Undergraduate Travel Funding Program

The Department of Political Science is launching a pilot program to provide travel funding for undergraduate Political Science majors pursuing academically meaningful opportunities outside UW–Madison.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed by the department’s Student Awards and Prizes Committee. Funding decisions will be based on the strength of the application, the academic value of the proposed travel, and fund availability.

To apply for funding, please complete this form.

Eligibility and Criteria

● Be an enrolled undergraduate student for the term during which the travel takes place
(for summer travel, you must be enrolled as an undergraduate in the fall term after)
● Demonstrate a clear academic purpose for the proposed travel, such as attending a
conference, conducting research, participating in an academic competition or program,
or pursuing another educational opportunity related to the student’s academic interests.
