Department to co-host Eat-and-Greet event with La Follette

The Department of Political Science strives to prepare its students for a variety of career paths. Many of our alumni go on to work in legislation, public policy, and lawmaking. That’s why we’ve teamed up with our friends in the La Follette School of Public Affairs to host an “Eat-and-Greet” at the state capitol, where our students will be able to meet, learn from, and network with alumni from all manner of legislative careers. The event will include a panel featuring poli sci alumni Rebecca Hogan, owner and lobbyist for the Hamilton Group, and Joel Rivlin, principal of Vilas Consulting. Also present at the panel will be La Follette Alumni Christa Pugh, team supervisor at the Legislative Fiscal Bureau, and Ryan Ring, who is a research assistant for state representative Alex Dallman, and who recently paid us a visit in North Hall as a guest on the 1050 Bascom Podcast, where we discussed the upcoming event, as well as his career path.
