Biography
Yehzee Ryoo is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on the role of public opinion, democratic norms, and electoral constraints in shaping the military strategies of democratic states. In her dissertation, she explores the relationship between public opinion and military operations in inter-state conflicts, with an emphasis on moral considerations and civilian casualties. Yehzee uses survey experiments, network analysis, and text analysis in her work.
Yehzee holds an M.S. in Applied Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as an M.A. and B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Korea University in Seoul, Korea.
