Evgeniya Mitrokhina is a PhD Student in Comparative Politics at UW-Madison. She is interested in the role of bureaucracy in the authoritarian regime persistence. More specifically, Evgeniya is interested in understanding bureaucrats’ motivations to obey the orders or defect and what consequences the behavior has on authoritarian politics. Prior to joining UW-Madison, Evgeniya studied political science at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.
