Biography:

Mark Copelovitch is Professor in the Department of Political Science and the Robert M. La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Professor Copelovitch studies international political economy and international organizations, with a focus on the politics of international trade, international finance, the International Monetary Fund, and European integration.  He is the author of The International Monetary Fund in the Global Economy: Banks, Bonds, and Bailouts (Cambridge University Press, 2010), as well as articles in Comparative Political Studies,the Journal of PoliticsInternational Organization, International Studies Quarterly, and the Review of International Organizations.

Professor Copelovitch is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard University, where he received his Ph.D. in Government in 2005. He is also an affiliate of the Center for European Studies, the Center for German and European Studies, and the Jean Monnet European Union Center of Excellence at UW – Madison.
