Biography

Ethan is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science. His research explores how historical narratives shape modern political attitudes and behavior, including projects around how remembering, reconciling with, or learning about history affect outcomes such as prejudice, attitudes towards conflict, and voting behavior. His dissertation examines the connection between authoritarian nostalgia and changes to modern party systems. His research has examined these dynamics with cross-national analysis as well as individual projects in Spain, Portugal, the United States, and Israel.
