Kate Carter is a second year graduate student in the Department of Political Science specializing in comparative politics. Her research focuses on political economy and development in sub-Saharan Africa.
Kate previously worked on open innovation programs for the United States Agency for International Development in Washington, DC. She holds a BA in Economics and Political Science with a minor in African Studies from Northwestern University (2010) and an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago (2011).
