The Center for the Study of Liberal Democracy is hosting a public lecture with Patrick Deneen, associate professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame, on the failures of liberalism and the rise of populism in the United States and Europe. Dr. Deneen is a prominent political theorist and author of the much-discussed 2018 book Why Liberalism Failed. This event is co-sponsored by the Tom Sawyer Society.
