Waiting Lists: Political Science Department

Fall 2008 Course Waiting Lists

Procedure - PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!

Waiting lists are compiled by section and on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will contact you by email if an opening occurs. Please use your wisc.edu email account, as we need to send messages to that account per university policy.
A student can only be on a waiting list for one section.
Multiple submissions for a particular course will result in ALL submissions being discarded by the system!
The department will continue to contact students until the first day of classes in the fall semester.
Being on this waiting list for this course in no way guarantees the student a seat. Only one submission per person per course will be considered.
Important: If a spot opens in the course, you will be authorized to web-enroll for that particular section, will be notified that you may register, and you will need to do so. You need to register via the web for the course; you will not be registered by the department. You will have 48 hours to add the course if a spot opens up. If you don’t register in that time, then the spot will be offered to someone else.
Please note that the waiting lists are not intended (and will not be effective) for switching sections in a course for which you have already enrolled!
Once your ID number appears on a course's roster (regardless of the section number), your name will automatically be removed from the waiting list for that course.
If a course is listed here but the waitlist is "full", or if a section is unavailable for selection, there is no other waiting list for that course or section - please do not contact the instructor. Those who attend the class on the first day may be able to be added to the course at that point.
