American Politics & Empirical Methods
The Department of Political Science seeks to make a tenure-track appointment at the beginning or advanced assistant professor level in American politics and empirical methods. Educational Sciences Scholar
The College of Letters and Science at UW-Madison seeks to appoint an outstanding scholar engaged in scientific research on education from a disciplinary perspective, e.g. economics, sociology, psychology, or political science. The successful candidate will be appointed in a social science department and will contribute to an interdisciplinary training program in education science located at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. The program emphasizes statistical approaches that permit causal inference on practical problems in education, including the design, implementation, and analysis of randomized trials. More generally, the successful candidate will be expected to pursue rigorous, cutting-edge research; advise graduate research in the area of education, science from a disciplinary perspective; develop and maintain extramural funding for research; teach graduate and undergraduate courses; and participate in faculty governance activities.
